7 night/9 day extended standard UK tours
Day 1: Overnight flight from Bangkok – Heathrow Airport.
Day 2: On arrival at Heathrow Airport your passengers will be met and escorted to our awaiting coach. Travel to Amesbury a small town embraced by a loop of the River Avon. Here we stop for breakfast before travelling a short distance to Stonehenge Stone Circle World Heritage Site.
Journey on to Bath. On arrival here we visit the Roman Baths - Britains only hot springs. The highlights include The Great Baths, Terrace, Sacred Springs and Temple. Lunch arranged in the City of Bath. After lunch City orientation to include Bath Abbey and River Avon. Check into our centrally appointed hotel. Dinner included.
Day 3: After breakfast we depart for Chester. Lunch on arrival before an orientation tour of this 2000-year-old city. We travel onto Windermere in the tranquil Lake District. Check into our hotel with an enviable location. Time to discover the lakes before dinner.
Day 4: After breakfast we check out of our hotel. Scenic drive en-route to our lunch stop at Keswick. En-route to Edinburgh we have a short break at the 19th Century Spa Town of Moffat. A short distance further we stop at the Gretna Green Old Blacksmiths Shop where runaway couples would flock to be married. Gretna Green being one of the world’s most famous wedding venues. Long before Las Vegas. One wedding certificate dates back to 11th June 1772. Travel onto well located Hotel in Edinburgh. Dinner arranged.
Day 5: After breakfast we explore the sights of Edinburgh. Amongst today’s highlights we have included Edinburgh Castle, Scotland’s most famous castle. The castle offers stunning views of the surrounding areas. James VI erected the Great Hall in 1510.
We visit The Palace of Holyrood House is Her Majesty the Queens official residence in Scotland. Lunch included.
A trip to Scotland would not be complete without a visit to The Royal Yacht Britannia. This fabulous tour covers five magnificent decks and the State Apartments. Four Royal couples have honeymooned upon the Britannia, including the Prince and Princess of Wales. Stand onboard where some of the world’s most influential people such as Sir Winston Churchill, Rajiv Gandhi and Nelson Mandella have stood.
Tonight we have arranged a Special Scottish Night Dinner show with traditional live Scottish entertainment.
Day 6: After breakfast travel onto York. We visit Fountain Abbey a National Trust property declared a World Heritage Site in 1987. 13 Benedictine Monks founded the Abbey in 1132. This 882-acre site covers a wealth of history and beauty. Lunch arranged before checking into our Hotel. Evening meal.
Day 7: After Breakfast we start our city orientation of York. Which includes York Minster one of Europe’s finest Cathedrals. We visit the sights and smells of the Viking Ages at the JORVIK Viking Centre. Archaeologists unearthed remains of 10th Century Viking Age Buildings on a site of an old sweet factory, in Coppergate. An amazing 40,000 objects were uncovered.
After lunch we depart for Warwick Castle which is set in sixty acres of beautiful grounds. Time to wander the extensive grounds and explore the castle and perhaps the Dungeon and Torture Chambers?
Short Journey to Stratford Upon Avon where we check into our hotel. Evening meal arranged.
Day 8: Tour of Stratford Upon Avon – the birthplace of William Shakespeare, the greatest writer in the English Language. City Orientation here. Early lunch and then travel to London. Check into the well appointed Royal Lancaster Hotel. Evening meal included.
Day 9: After breakfast we start our city tour to see the main sights of London including - Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, St Pauls Cathedral. We have arranged fast track tickets to avoid the lengthy queues on the London Eye. Your group will have unmissable views of London including Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament. Lunch included.
An afternoon at the Tower of London. Time here to explore the Towers, Palaces and of course the Crown Jewels dating back to 1661. Transfer to London Heathrow for return night flight to Bangkok.
Day 10: Land Bangkok under your own flight arrangements.
